Differences in core temperatures

Hi guys just wondering how common this is? I notice that there's a difference of 3°C - 4°C on my cores. I might consider lapping the CPU at some point in the future which could help alleviate this but in general does anyone else find this happening with their system?

Most of my systems have few deg's difference in core temps.

Normal, the temperature sensors in the cpu's are not calibrated at normal running temperatures.. They are calibrated to be accurate at the point the cpu is overheating and needs to be throttled and/or shutdown.

Just ignore it to be honest, even if there is a slightly inaccuracy at the shutdown temperature, they are designed with enough margin of error that the cpu wont be damaged anyway.

Mine used to be very accurate, to within say a couple of degrees, now core 1 and 2 are 5 degrees higher than 3 or 4. The whole chips idling quite a bit hotter too.

Quite normal. I'd be worried if it was like 15-20c off or so lol.

Perfectly normal, even after lapping my old q6600 their was stiil a difference, 2 cores at 68c, 2 at 62c at 3.8ghz, my q9550 had more of a difference, current i7 has a bit of variation as well.
