Hi there - just wanted some heads up

Would you notice a performance difference at all between buying the standard GTX versions of the nvidia 8800 from
Asus, PNY, Gainward, BFG? Cheers!

same card, diff warantys.

Generally speaking the way I decide between brands, assuming all else is equal (i.e. clock speeds, rating of memory used etc) is:

-Price
-Reputation (including overclocking)
-Cooling

Generally speaking price is the big deciding factor for me, I've never gone with one manufacturer over another based on warranty as I've never had a gfx card die on me before upgrading anyway. If price is very close then I might go for a more reputable brand but I wouldn't pay more than a couple of quid for the priviledge.

FWIW I've owned cards by Cirrus Logic, Guillemot, 3dfx (STB?), Hercules, Abit, XFX, Leadtek and MSI. Never had much to choose between them although the two Hercules cards were bought specifically because a) the gf2mx had faster memory than reference design; and b) the 9800SE AIW had a very good reputation for softmodding.
