I have been using a sony 3.5mm to phono cable with my PC and recently it died. I have switched to using an unbranded 3.5mm cable to phono and I have found that just by changing the cable to one (I assume) of lesser quality my volume output has increased dramatically. Can anyone explain to me why this is?
