Different chipsets with the 1155 boards?

Trying to give some advice to a friend doing his first build but i'm a bit out of the loop, my latest one was back before i7 etc.

can anyone advise which chipset is best? will be a gaming rig possible a bit overclocked but nothing extravagant.

Z77 is the latest chipset and depending on budget there are some great boards,

Idealy we need a budget but the IB 3570k and a Z77 will be fine.
