I'm looking to see how other Karate (or similar) clubs train in Karate, and how they differ to ours. We obviously do the normal drill training, kata, bits out of kata, basics, bunkai and self defense.
We were introduced at the weekend to a new way of speed punching using a belt folded in 4 and held by partner, then another partner tapped up on shoulders or hips from behind and we had to use that part of the body to attack the belt.
It was different and interesting and now I'm looking for other ideas, but none of the "learn a real method, or karate sucks" comments please, adult conversation only... thanks
