Hey guys, I currently have a Dell U2913WM monitor (2560x1080, IPS, 21:9) running at 75Hz via one of the display ports on my GTX970. What I am wondering is, can I connect a second monitor to another output and run that at a different refresh? it would be an old 1280x1024 screen running at 60Hz proberbly connected via DVI.

Yes, I've had a 144hz 1080p monitor running next to a 60hz crap monitor. You just change the settings in windows 
Just when you drag a program across it will go from nice and smooth to horrible and jumpy.. Well mine did!

Definitely doable. Be careful though, some cards don't like it. I had to return an xfx 280x because of corruption when doing this.

Yes this is no problem. Only if you were trying to duplicate the displays would you have a problem and have to run them at the same resolution and refresh rate.
