Hi All,

I wonder if anyone can help me or has had the same issue, I have two different temperature monitor bits of s/w, Core Temp 1.0 and Speed Fan 4.44.

Both of them show my Core 2 Duo E6400, (running at the stock speed of 2.13Ghz) running at a different temperature as to what the BIOS shows.

I have an Asus P5W DH motherboard and upon a warm restart boot up it show CPU temp at around 43c.

Core Temp shows core 0 at 58c and core 1 at around 59c

Speed fan shows a few different temps namely CPU= 44c, then core 0 at 54c and core1 at 53c.

What is the best way to check the temp of the CPU and what bit of software do most people find to be the best way to monitor CPU temp.

Please help as I’m confused

Matt :):)

That's fine. Expect a differation of around 5 degrees usually. :)

Use realtemp or your motherboards specific utility.
