Hello all!

Recently picked up a Giant Trinity TT bike from a local charity bike shop, so it's a bit of a weird one in the drive train areas..

So it has

Sram red etap front and rear derailleur.
Campagnolo 11 spd cassette, with campag crankset (athena 11)
I haven't looked at the chain but assume this is a campag 11 speed based on these changes by the prev owner.

On my road bike I want to move across my crankset, which is an sram red e1 chain ring with force crank arms, it's a 12 speed chain ring but I've heard this should be no issue if using with an 11 speed chain/cassette? Happy to be corrected here :p

What I'm wanting to know is can I keep the campag 11 speed cassette, or will I need an sram cassette ideally? I know I'll likely need a different BB which is fine, I'm just wanting to make sure on compatibility of the drivetrain before I make any changes.

Thanks :)

I'm fairly sure the 12sp Sram isn't compatible with the 11 speed stuff (although is fine with the newer 13sp stuff), so i'd be surprised if it'd work with a campag cassette.

In reality it would probably work, just likely sound "clunky"
Thanks :)

It's not a burning change thats needed, as bike will be parked for winter.

But I think I may just end up buying an SRAM cassette when I get a new wheelset, then get a 12spd chain for this and that 'should' be okay I think.
