Hi,

I am having trouble finding a monitor that matches my requirements. I keep trawling suppliers and manufacturers sites, but find that I cant search by the criteria that I need, and end up downloading user manuals to see if bases are detachable, and whether the PSU is external and 12v etc, so I hope someone out there will know of something that might be a match.

I am trying to find an LCD monitor which I can use as a field monitor for a High Quality HD Video Camera (Sony EX1R). I will mount it on a tripod using a VESA adapter. The camera has an HDMI output and component Video.

What I am looking for is;
- Smallest size & weight (12" to 20" max)
- 12v powered (i.e. Monitor with external 12V power brick)
- Lowest possible power consumption (30W or Less)
- Completely detachable stand
- VESA mount
- 16:9 Widescreen, Highest resolution possible (Full HD (1920 x 1020) or a lower - resolution which scales Full HD well)
- Good image quality
- HDMI or Component input
- And of course not silly money (say up to £250 or so)

Thanks

Thanks MattyFex,

I had thought of this, as my wife has a MacBook, but the problem is how to get the video stream into a laptop from HDMI or Component Video.

All the Best
