Digital camera ... £130 ish??

Hi
I'm looking for a digital camera, the best I can get for about £130ish. The cheaper the better but £130ish is the max I can go to. I've been looking at the Samsung L60, what do you guys recommend?

Maybe have a look at a Canon A540
6 mp, 4 optical zoom, optical view finder
Can be had £127

Ok, that one looks good etc.
Now I cant decide between the canon A540 & the samsung L60

Samsung pros:

Longer battery life
Video filmed in mpeg 4
I trust samsung

Samsung cons:

Would need to buy special spare battery
Not sure on IQ?


Canon pros:

AA batterys mean I can use any as spares
I know they have good IQ
4x zoom (over the 3x offered by samsung)

Canon cons:

Batteries dont last as long
Video is filmed in a way that means you cant film for long


I'm swaying towards the samsung but I am really stuck, i'd like to get it today really. Which do you think?

would recommend popping over to Amazon.co.uk, and searching for it. You can put in price first between £100-£200 then filter down by make and amount of megapixels.

The reviews of the S700 are really bad though, it was what I was originally going to go for. Apparently the picture quality is worse then a lot of 5MP cameras.

I went for the Samsung L60 in the end.
I went into a shop & it was more comfy to hold then the canon. Also the XviD video recording & flat lithium long life battery won it for me. Was cheaper in a highstreet store then anywhere on the web too
