My mum and dad have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT1 - http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_GB/2033765/index.html
Its a good enough camera for skiing and general use but takes pretty poor pictures at night and colours seem all over the place
My dad has had a few Canon Powershot cameras in the past like an A60, A75 which have been great but have developed problems with the lens / LCD
Could you recommend a good camera in the £150 - £200 price range that takes good pictures in auto setting, is reliable and well built. Manual settings such as shutter speed and a good macro would be an added bonus
edit - just seen how cheap SLR EOS camera are like the 1100D - worth the extra for £265? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-1100D-Digital-Camera-3-5-5-6/dp/B004MPQXZA
