"Digital Illusions Air Strike" Intel Core i7 4770K @ 4.5GHz Overclocked Gaming PC

I would personally change the 290X for a 290 as the 290 is essentially the same card and can be clocked to match but is £120 less, but that's entirely up to you. :)

The spec looks solid to me, good choice of SSD on your part, I find 250/256GB to be the sweet spot personally.

If I were you I would wait for the 290's/290X's with non reference coolers as the reference card gets HOT and LOUD. I believe they are expected to show up in the next couple of weeks.

I find the advert on main page of store funny :)
To the left: build with AMD card inside, image looks grainy and have some 'dead pixels', plus the orange color (which is a warm color type) and that fire in the background, lol.
To the right, Nvidia card inside, you can see only 2 fans, of which 1 is on a rad and in overall it looks better, maybe apart from that I really like Corsair 540 more than 350D :D

Nothing wrong with those builds ofc (apart of dead pixels :P ).

I was a bit unsure as the large heatsink used means that the top PCI-E x16 isn't being used so it would mean IF I read the MB specs right that it will only run at x8 in the second slot ? Or I am probably not reading it right :D

Also, the RAM has 11-11-11-31 timings and the description doesn't say it has Intel XMP support ?

So options could have been to spec order to use the Corsair H100i and different RAM with tighter CAS timings, Eg, 9-11-10-27 on this

Thanks anyway for the advice, I'm sure the system will be fine as it is.
