Digital Medium Format

Anyone had experience of digital medium format? DSLR's are perfect for most things but a big (A1+) enlargement would benefit from a bigger more detailed original image.

But VERY expensive.

A1 prints from a DSLR? Which one? The full-frame 1Ds MkII maybe? Not sure my 5D would look great at A1+.
