Think this is the best place for this thread...

Anyone have a digital photo frame at all? If so, are they worth it yet, as looking to get one for my mums b'day. Any help on what to look for would be apreciated!

Not being sarcy at all but I'd look out for image quality and colour reproduction.

I was in a well knows high street store the other day, and there was about 10 lined up next to each other all showing the same pic. You wouldn't believe how some stand out, leaving others looking terrible.

Buying something like this online is like buying a TV online. Unless you've seen one in the "flesh" for yourself you never know what you're getting.

FWIW, I have yet to see one that doesn't completely rip the guts out of any image put on it!

lol, dramatic.

I agree though for some models that you're better off getting a back lit photo frame. There are a few out there that are really good though, obv can't remember which myself tho!

Remember guys, this is just like buying a mini TFT Monitor, therefore the quality of the panels is vastly going to vary. Go and look at them in a store, then order online. Another thing to bare in mind is the software that they come with and how 'userfriendly' the GUI is!

I think there a great idea, some you can select a folder on your PC and it will stream all the photographs from that folder to the device, some you have to upload them to, some you have to stick a memory card in. Either way, there a good idea, you just have to be selective!
