I'm looking for a beginners digital piano and the Casio CDP-100 caught my eye as it's cheap (< £300), it's compact and it's a brand I've heard of.

Is this a good choice for a novice or can anyone suggest anything better for a similar budget?

TIA :)

Thanks Arty. There's a brand new P70 on eBay for £389 at present but without a stand.

No real need for internal speakers I guess - I'll probably use an external amp.

As for music, I think we'll be confined to twinkle twinkle, little star and jingle bells for a while ;). I haven't so much as touched a keyboard in 6 years.

Thanks guys for the input. I must admit I'm tempted by the Casio for the price...
