Digital Picture's review of the Sigma 50mm is up

Nice review, I really like the design of these new Sigma lenses, very uncluttered layout and graphics.

Interesting how he comments on the fact that the lens seems to have inconsistencies with focus. Might be something that Sigma can fix in a firmware update.
 
Was starting to wonder if anyone was interesting in this lens any more! :p

It does look good but the focus issues worry me greatly. If you can't depend on the AF then what's the point?
 
I'd Wait for a few more reviews to come out and see if they have the same problems/issues with the AF, and to be fair, he does say it was one of the first production lenses, I'm interested in getting one but not till I have the 35mm ART as I already own the Sigma F1.4 50mm in its previous incarnation.

Looks like the 24mm ART is(possibly) going to make a show at Photokina.
Sigma are making leaps and bounds with their lenses
