I posted on here asking about what film SLR I should go for.. Now I'm curious about a digital. I would like an SLR one. I have no idea about these though.

I've head the Nikon D-50 mentioned on here a good few times, but unfortunately that is some way out of my price bracket.

I'd be looking for something <£200 ideally.

What would you experts recommend? :)

Cheers,
Naffa

i was looking for 1 also for around the same price for my dads xmas. I eventually concluded that any digital slr for less than ~£400 was not really worth it.

Ah. :p

So there aren't any SLR cameras for under £400 that are worth buying?
If you keep an eye out you may be able to find the 350d for ~£400, and the 300d will be less again.

Check the members market for a D50 kit. If you seriously want a DLS, you should put aside £500 at least for memory, bag, filters. That's not even including getting more lenses.

Otherwise consider a prosumer digital like the Canon Powershot S3 IS, I'm sure there is someone on here who can recommend some...
