Digital TV comes to PS3

The Japanese giant is expected to announce a tuner for the PlayStation 3 that will allow the recording and playback of digital TV.

It will also give more details of a video download service for the PSP handheld, developed with Sky in the UK.

I dont own a PS3 but thought this article would be of interest to some of you

Can't really see the point of this myself, you can get DVRs for <£50 nowadays...the only advantage would have really been if it was internal so another box wouldn't be needed, but I can't see them managing that with the PS3 as it stands Might be useful if it supports mp4 for the HD channels that are expected to launch after the analogue switch off though.
