Digitising software for embroidery machines.

Anyone know anything about commercial embroidery machine digitising software.

I want to put images into a software and get a .DST file and run sheet for my machine.

I know there is a bit more to it than that, but my search has pulled up hundreds of results

Just starting out in this so if anyone has any experience with this it would be a great help.

My wife used to run embroidery machines, she said they used Wilcom she did say it is expensive though.
When the company was taken over the new owners switched to outsourcing new designs as it was cheaper.

Thanks for the update, I got a free 30 days trial from Hatch 3 but it's a steep learning curve, it's not very easy but said to be the best, it's a Wilcom product I believe.

Kicker is though that after 30 days it a bloody grand to buy it. I will have to look on the alternative websites for a way round that.

Ooh now you're in my territory - I use PE Design and do exactly what you describe, just design in Photoshop/Illustrator and then drag into the software to produce the embroidery pattern. Not cheap software, but works well!
