Dilemma 939/C2D

Looking to upgrade our 3 old machines (P4 1.8ghz, AMD 2800, P3 550Mhz)

And thinking whether its worth paying the £1500 (as specced in an earlier thread).

Or buy second hand 939?

I want to put all 3 PC's into one replacement PC.

Used i could look at getting:

X2 4400
2GB RAM
7800 GTX or similar (or buy new gfx)
Not sure on Mobo

Or New i could look at:

E4300, 6300
2GB RAM
X1950 Pro - XT
DS3

Would it be worth buying a brand new C2D PC for light gaming (COD2) and music etc?

Or buy used S939 Stuff and then upgrade in a year or so and get some new DX10 + Conroe Kit?

Yes but would i be better off getting a cheap S939 for a year or so.

Or buying a cheapo motherboard etc?

Will be wanting to buy a whole PC inc monitor.

This E4300, how easy is it to overclock and what about with the stock cooler?

What sort of spec should i be looking at for a full PC System (monitor, keyboard/mouse etc) with & without O/S (not needed just yet..but if can fit in, good).

Budget is £900-950 (£1000 MAX).
