Basically ive had my current computer for so so long, when i bought it, it was the best money could buy but now its getting old.
AMD Barton 3200+
NF7-S
2GB DDR400
X800XT PE
Enermax 460w
200gb WD 7200rpm (80gb + 120gb)
It plays all the games that i love CSS, HL2, AOE3, COH etc.
But with the release of new games (crysis, gta 4, farcry 2) i really want a computer that will run them flawlessly as ive just upgraded my 17" monitor to a 24" which i want to make the most of the resolution.
Do i wait for the new socket Intel processors to arrive or do i buy a quad now and get myself a 4870 X2 to go with it? I dont want to spend any more then £1000 that is my very top limit.
Just want to know what the best thing to do is, becuase with my last system i bought the 3200+ which was the fastest socket A processor and then the sockets changed along with AGP to PCI Express, i dont want to make the same mistake with my next purchase limiting myself with future upgradability.
Any thoughts and comments will be much apreciated!
