Dilemma

Hi

I've got a bit of a dilemma as I am not sure what CPU to go for.

I've been looking at the Phenom II 550 BE and the Athlon II 620 and I don't know which one to go for; but now the triple core Athlon II 435 has come out.

I use Office a lot for coursework and other stuff and I use dreamweaver quite a bit. I also use photoshop but not that often and I browse the internet a lot. I probably won't be gaming but i may play the odd strategy game now and then.

So the question is: Which CPU will be better for my needs and are the 550 and 620 worth the extra???

Same as what i'm considering... there's somebody already selling the Athlon X3 at £40

I assume it would be possible to unlock the extra core too.

According to this review, and you stated needs (general apps, office, dreamweaver, photoshop, not much gaming), I would definitely go for the 620 over the 550. Especially considering the price difference is only £2.

That's very useful, even though i do use it for gaming it won't be it's main purpose, and even then it's good enough. Pretty much made up my mind now.

All-in-all the 620 looks like a bargain of a chip.
