Dillema over upgrades:(

My problem is this i have ordered a 570gtx to replace my 5850 and go 3d vision my rig is as follows
Phenom x2 unlocked to x4 at 3.6 ghz
4gb ddr2
My problem is gaming at 1920x1080 i feel that in arma2 my memory and possibly cpu is holding me back

Because its older tech ie the ddr2 is it worth me ordeing 2x4 gb ddr2 or should i know look at sandybridge and ddr3 ? And go new tech

Your existing set up should be fine really, a quad at 3.6 and 4 gig of RAM should eat any game

Indeed.

That said ARMA is ridiculously cpu intensive (whilst also eating graphics power).

However, I would be very much surprised if your frame rate drops much below 30. And its only when it drops to <25 that you will notice a stutter or it will affect gameplay
