Ok i had my order in for a 5850 to replace my single 4870 512 ,i have a q6700 at 3.8 ghz so not top of the line i7 but i think just as good in games?

Anyway found out i might be up to 3 weeks waiting for my card so cancelled , it , during this time my 4870 just sold on ebay so now as of friday i will have no card i game at 1900x1200 so the 512 4870 was screwed anyways at that res with 512 mem

so my 5850 order was cancelled from ocuk , i am waiting the funds to go back in bank , how long does it normally take?

now question is do i now go and get 2 x 5770? my mobo handles 2 x 16 pcie lanes instead of the 5850 , or will they struggle at 1900x1200 with say arma2 and warhead etc ?

You'd be better with 1 5850, even if it's not from OCUK. 2x5770s may be a bit quicker to get, but the 5850 would be better in terms of performance. You need to make sure your board supports Xfire as well (I know that sounds obvious, but I know people that bought 2x9800GTs and wondered why SLi never worked on P45)
