Diluting down milk

Why would you dilute milk in the first place?

Does this serve a purpose?

Probably stealing a cuppa from the staff canteen and topping up the milk to make it look like nothings been taken (some places will even mark the side of the bottle to prevent pllfering)

And here's me currently drinking 7 pints of full fat milk a day.
