Dimmable LED strip?

Hi Guys,

I have nearly finished my super mod for my Cooler Master Elite 130 (happy to say that it is my first mod and the best for this case I have seen

).

I now need a LED strip however I wanted something that it is dimmable as I do not want too much light inside (waste of electricity and it is distracting).

Any ideas?

I saw these on ebay would they work? No idea how to use them though....

They are likely a little PWM controller and will work with appropriate led strips. So decide what strips you want first and then choose the controller to suit, or buy a strip that comes with a controller like that, or infra red remote.

What i did was remove the plug and attach a molex connector on there so i could connect it to my PSU - with mine i can change it to around 16 different colours, dim it, turn it on/off and set different modes (fade etc)

For what it's worth, you're not going to save any meaningful amount of energy by dimming an LED strip.

Yep LED consume nothing...but the distraction or unwanted light cast in the living room at the wrong time it is my main point to want them dimmable

I got a Nzxt Hue and you can control the brightness of the LED strip you get with it
