Laughed most of the way through, trailers don't do it justice, and some of the trailer isn't even in the film!

Steve Carell was good, but I think he was the only thing worth seeing in the film.

Anyone else seen this yet?

It's had pretty mixed reviews.

i thought it was a fun film.. 6/10 sounds a bit harsh, but 7/10 might do other films injustice... i really liked the film though

This looks like a take from a French film "Le Diners de Con". That film was quite funny. Not seen this yet, but has me intrigued.

It is a take on Le Diner de Cons. I will not be watching this Americanized version thereof simply because, 1) I don't like Steve Carrell and 2) the French one was funny, and an American version would wreck that.

I find Steve Carrell very hit and miss to be honest.

Well watched a minute of the trailer and shockingly, both actors are playing the EXACT same character they always play in everything and the first few jokes are just Carroll being a bit loud and embarassing and the other guy being a bit of a ****.

The formula is soooooo boring and old, that doesn't mean the formula for that kind of film can't make a film with a few good jokes in it, but it won't ever be a "great" film because well, at every stage of the film you'll be thinking "i've seen this before haven't I?". Its a shame because Caroll does seem like he can act, he's done maybe one/two films as a fairly different character although he still plays what end up being slightly loser/shy guys, just in a couple of drama/girlie flicks rather than mostly crude comedy films.

Date Night was the same, its a bad film, it doesn't mean there weren't funny moments, and I didn't actually hate it, doesn't stop it being a bad film though, it was generic, mostly old jokes, horrible actual acting, mostly crap script, lots of very unfunny jokes and it just felt like such a tired and dull idea.

Watched this last night and have to say it was pretty much meh...it was funny in some parts but mostly i didnt find it all very funny...id give it a 5/10 tbh.
