So after nearly 20 years the original line-up have released a new album.
Been a big fan since the early 90's so had to buy this.
The first thing that hit me was the production, kind of low-fi and grungy i suppose. Newcomers might find this a bit poo but it hasn't bothered me.
As for the actual songs on offer, what can i say, it's typical Dinosaur Jr. Noisy mid paced grunge with huge solo's from J Mascis who still rocks harder than a lot of new bands out there
There is nothing massively different going on but then again they were never a band with ambition for global stardom.
i can see me playing this a lot during the summer months.
any other thought's?
