Dinovo - Without Power Adaptor

Can you use the dinovo set without the power adpator to the bluetooth hub?
I don't use it to charge the mouse up, so can't it draw enough power from the usb connection like other bluetooth adapters?

I have too many plugs and having one for the keyboard is stupid.

If not, can u use another bluetooth adapter to connect with the set?
but that will render the lcd useless, won't it??

I beleive it only need the adaptor to power the charger etc.

I know my old MX700 set only needed the adaptor to charge the mouse.

It certainly works as a receiver for the mouse without the power adapter. I guess bluetooth works too, as the media pad connects, displays info and sends commands exactly as it should - I don't know about connecting 3rd party devices to it though.

This is with the Media Desktop 2.0 - I'd imagine it works the same as the other Di Novos though.

It didn't work when i unplugged the adapter.

I've been looking around and it should work without the power adaptor.

So i tried it on my other pc and that worked fine.

I replugged it into my current pc, and went into the device settings and in usb section i found that my scanner was using up all the power from the usb device, i unpluged that and the dinovo hub was detected.
