my friend has just got a ati 4890 .

it was all fine until he tried to play call of duty world at war :(

on cod 4 fine , waw he gets this error and a black screen

direct 3d device preset failed driver internal error .



does anyone have any ideas what this ? hes updated his drivers , updated direct x not sure what else to do.
