Direct X 11

guys,

Just upgraded my card , been along long time since i upgraded , I know i have to remove all traces of the old drivers , but what about DX11 , i currantly have DX9. do i have to download DX11 and install after the card has been fitted?? Sorry if this sounds a newbie question

I have , a radeon x1950 pro 512 on DX9 running windows 7 ultimate , and my new 5850 should be here today if it can get through the snow , all i need to know is wether dx11 gets installed when updating the driver to the 5 series , or if i manually have to download dx11 and install??

OMFG!! this card ROCKS!! well chuffed with my purchase just broke it in hours stint on crysis , hour on MW2 hour on GTAIV !! might aswell throw my 1950 away!!! was gonna try and flog it on e-bay!! well chuffed right now

No , the radeon was the final piece to my build , i got the overclocked i5@4ghz

I shall , either today or tomorrow is shall be getting an SSD drive ( not sure which one yet ) and a 1TB storage drive , again not sure which one to get , then thats me done for a few years!! Lovin it compared to my old build!!
