Direct2Drive.co.uk vs .com

If you live in the UK do you have to use direct2drive.co.uk as opposed to .com? The ones on the US site are in $ so the prices are a couple of quid cheaper, but would it let you do it?

My mate got Oblivion off the US site before it was out in the UK without too much hassle - not sure if they've not changed the system since then though as I think the only thing he had to 'dig up' was a US zip code.
