I love D2D fileplanet have it sussed.
I bought battle stations:midway from it.
Was in us dollars as well im pretty sure.
Anyways, you download the game. as per usual. You get an unlock key sent to you via email.
Now once downloaded you dont need to keep anything open, the game installs as if its from the cd, asks for the unlock key, this then goes off and verifys all is ok, the game is then unlocked and yours to play.
I have just re-installed from vista back to xp x64, used the setup file from the folder i downloaded the game to, it installed no issues asked for the key which i entered and all is up and running again, this is with no d2d app installed or running.
Better than steam imho.
