Oh god I hated this game, can I just take £12.50 in pennies and try to shove it up my backside? I guarantee it'd be more enjoyable for most folks.

That isn't that cheap is it? Quick search on Amazon shows the original for £8.99 and the enhanced stuff is a free patch is it not?
Trust me when I say that you do not want to experience patching the retail version of this game. It's a nightmare and a half. I re-purchased the game on Steam because I just couldn't handle patching the retail version lol

Did anyone else buy this from D2D?

I just installed the game, then installed the 200mb director's cut patch which is linked to on the same page as the game download on D2D.

Bit confused though; the launcher has the option to check for updates and it prompts me to download the 1.5 patch (although the game is already 1.5.0 something). This patch is another 300mb.

Does the game already incorporate this or has anyone else who bought the game installed it too?

The 1.5 patch apparently removes DRM, and I wasn't prompted for my serial number on install, so...hmm.

Edit: nvm, their forums provided the answer.
