Hi Everyone

I wonder if someone can shed some light on a small problem.

I've just been and bought Call of Duty 2 - Modern Warefare and have some problems at keeping the game stable. After playing the game for around 20-30mins with no issues at all, all the sound is fantastic, graphics are rich and smooth. The game seems to crash to desktop, with the following error.

"Direct3DDevice::Present Failed"

Obviously I detected this is something DirectX releated and tried all the following listed below to correct issue. Sometimes the game just crashes to windows with no error. I instantly thought this might be HEAT with the new graphics card, and went and bought 2 fans to keep the system cool. However I then noticed that I could go back into the game and play for another 30 mins, CRASH then back in for another 30 mins. If this was heat surly it wouldn't be as consistant than if I was running from a cold start.

I then started to monitor the GPU temps. Under load my GPU0, and GPU1 run at around 57-63oC which I see from other sites its pretty good. I have no other issues with the PC, no other blue screens or crashs.

Fitted 2 x 120mm Fans :(
Uninstalled and Re-Installed Graphics Drivers :(
Re-Installed Latest Creative X-FI Drivers :(
Re-Installed Games, however still getting error.
Checked all Direct X Updates etc., currently running latest runtimes.
Completed Windows 7 Update, nothing relevant found.


Any Ideas would be greatful

The program iw4sp.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.
