Hi all,

Looking to make a clone of a clients shared directory (this will not be accessable by the user) but is a safeguard, so when the initial sync begins, they both directories have the data


Users do what ever they do during the day, then the software syncs or updates the folder late at night.

I want this as a piece of folder clone/sync software, not neccasasily your run of the mill backup.

Its just an extra pre-caution

Can anyone reccomend any decent software? ideally if it has the ability to do it when files open, then great, altough this is more likely to run at night, so highly doubtful anyone will be accessing files

Also can you do day retentions?
 
Robocopy will do what you ask and it comes with windows, set it to run at set times of day or via logoff script/shutdown script and your laughing ;)
