Sometime last week I got this error when trying to play any kind of audio;
I rebooted my PC and everything worked fine but this morning I come to find my PC rebooted by windows update agent and I get that sound error again, a reboot fixed the problem again. I use a SB Live soundcard, does any one know what is causing this? Is my card dying?
I have enabled my onboard sound so that if it does it again I can see if switching to that, then switching back to the SB live will fix it as having to reboot is a pain.
