Directx 10.1

I feel a little silly for asking this but how do i actually have 10.1 working on my vista x64 install??

I have a ati 4870 and vista x64 with sp1 and just wondering how i can see if 10.1 is on..... (iv just installed assasins creed and the installer just told me i only have 10.0

)

Get the latest runtime from here and then in start-> run type 'dxdiag' without quotes.

mine says its dx 10 not 10.1

snap still says 10, and not 10.1

Thats correct, Dx10.1 isnt shown in Dxdiag, it still shows as Dx10 in there, but you do have Dx10.1 so i wouldn't worry about it.

I think it does show in dxdiag, just click on the display tab at the top and under the drivers section on the right it says DDI version 10.1.
