DirectX 10 support on Windows XP

Yea its been talked about on another thread aswell, from what people are saying it seems to be more of an emulator, so your not going to get good playable frame rates in XP.

I found an article that apparently says that Microsoft says they admit Vista is a joke and that its classed as MEII, so if this is true, maybe Microsoft will decide to release it on XP afterall.

I thought Microsoft was going to release a final version of directx 9 for XP which would emulate some of the effects of directx 10 or did they scrap that idea?

I don't know why the Inquirer believed it was DX10 for XP. Ever since it was announced people knew it was simply a DX9 wrapper for Vista... because Vista doesn't have native DX9 support.
