How far away are we from games that utilise DirectX 10?

Are you saying Vista won't be backwards compatible with games designed for XP?

Aha, I see.

The reason I ask is that I'm planning a new build at the moment and figured since I want to future proof it and get as much life out of it as possible I may as well buy buying a DirectX 10 graphics card, but wondered if there would be any games out at the moment that would fully utilise its potential.

...and umm yes, I won't be touching Vista with a bargepole for quite a while other than on dual boot for tinkering purposes.
