Directx 12 to not support Windows 7.

I just don't get how people can moan so much about this (if true).

Win7 is five years old now. You moan you might have to upgrade your OS, but are happy to shell out hundreds if not thousands of pounds in five years on GPU's?

It cost me something like £30 to upgrade from 7 to 8 and it is entirely possible to make it look like Win7 if you do so wish. It is faster in every respect.

I'm still running Windows 7, but I'm not a Windows 8 bandwaggon basher. I just like to wait a year or two with new OS's, so they can get some service packs under their belts and to gauge any long term incompatability issues.

Windows 10 will likely be a cheap / free upgrade, meaning this isn't an issue like it was with Vista. I'm using the Technical Preview now and it's shaping up to be a decent OS and it doesn't even have the main features yet.

Windows 8.1 was fine. The improvements on the desktop (Task Manager, Explorer, file transfer, multi-monitor features, etc) more than made up for the abomination that was Metro. As much as I dislike Metro it was barely a factor in everyday usage.

this has been debunked, Microsoft now saying richard huddy has no evidence
& was misinformed.

(heard it from Linus-tech-tips when he was reading a email.

Quoted because it was seemingly ignored by everyone.

Do you have any links to Microsoft saying it is wrong ?

Does Richard Huddy ever actually tell the truth? NVidia engineers have called his G-Sync and GameWorks claims a load of bobbins and now Microsoft putting him in his place, is he just employed to sling mud about rival products?

Windows 7 Support will be halted by the mid/end of next year, like Windows XP it will get no more upgrades.

If DX12 is in Windows 7 i will eat my Graphics Card, it doesn't take a lot to predict what Huddy did given that MS are effectively making it EOL.

Not exactly correct. Windows 7 will no longer get main line (feature pack) support after January 2015, but it will continue to get security patches and extended support until 2020.

The difference is the meaning of the words. You and amd fans use it to mean that win 7 will be unsupported by ms. Which in turn means win 7 users need mantle to keep up with dx12 and win10 users. All to paint a picture that in the pc world only amd has the end user at heart
