This may seem a totally stupid thing to ask, but only got Vista installed for the first time, installed a few things but....where can I tell what version of DirectX I have installed on my system?

depending on which vista, I think it comes with dx10 already?

In the search box, type dxdiag and press enter.

type run into start menu, bottom left hand corner.

click run

type dxdiag

press enter
