dirt 2 multiplayer login problem

Im trying to play dirt 2 online but whenever i input the key which came with my gpu and the same key i used to install the game, windows live comes up with invalid key error. I have checked the key many times and thought i was messing up but that is not the case. Please help.

Right click Dirt2 in the steam game list, and 'view game CD key'. That'll give you the Key you need to use in-game
