Dirt 2 or Dirt 3?

I'm looking to pick one of these up, now that I've finished Forza 3, to tide me over on some semi-serious racing until Forza 4 comes out. Which should I get? I know Dirt 3 will have better graphics, but is one of them markedly better gameplay wise? The reviews seem fairly comparable, so I'm looking more for real world experience.

From what I read before buying 3, most people seemed to agree that it was the superior title of the series. I've had about an hour on it since buying it Saturday, and it's ok so far, nothing more though. It plays well enough, but they seem to bring up dlc at every opportunity (which is already grating on me).

I was a big fan of the first when it came out, but I just can't see myself getting into this as much. Gone back to GT5 already.

dirt 3 is ok , better than 2. though not sure its better than 1.
