Dirt 2 Or Dirt 3 ...?

Im in a pickle on what to buy
I prefer playing online
so what game will be best to play online and has more online players?

Dirt 3 probably has more players, but Dirt 2 was a better game IMO.

Dirt 3 is enjoyable, lovely graphics, not sure bout Dirt 2 but that looks very decent too

I enjoy Dirt 2 better but I don't play online at all, plenty of people playing online in Dirt 2 seemingly though.

if you set them up proper on a good wheel dirt 3 trounces dirt 2.

dirt 1 is often over looked and is also very good with harder tracks

If you could just remove all the Drifting/Gymkhana stuff out of DiRT 3 and add all the DiRT 2 tracks instead then that would be the greatest thing ever.

Dirt 2 is a much better game, But 3 will generally have more online players I would imagine.

Dirt 2. Probably fun, but waaaaayyyyyyy too much time staring at crappy UI whilst your keyboard is disabled. Biggest pet hate.

Dirt 2 was a lot better imo, but Dirt 3 has a larger online community.

This tbh, I stopped playing Dirt 3 as soon as I got to the Gymkhana, instantly sucked all of the enjoyment out of the game.

Gymkhana is about where I stopped playing Dirt 3 and started playing Dirt 2...

As I have progressed further in Dirt 2 I definitely feel like the graphics do a better job of setting the atmosphere for the race and the general feeling. Dirt 3 just has a very clean look and I'm not sure I like it.

I also feel that the events in Dirt 2 are more varied and there is more choice as to what you want to race and when you actually want to race it. The tracks in Dirt 2 are better too, can't put my finger on it but I think they're just a little better designed and there is more "feel" to them, more stuff going on. Of course the interface in Dirt 2 is a bit of pain but I am having trouble putting it down. I definitely feel more of a gritty (and fun) rally feeling from Dirt 2, I haven't had this much fun playing a racing game since NFS Underground.

I hope they're making Dirt 4 with "next gen" graphics and the best bits from both 2 & 3, would be awesome.
