Well, when the first came out I ran it on the pc.... the second, I am excited, but after seeing a few screenies, it looks like they have gone full on out arcade mode with it! NOOOOO

Yea, fine, the other was a bit arcadish, but at least it still had that rally element... the new one just looks stupid lol, pics of cars doing great big jumps through the centre of towns???

anyone else keeping an eye on it?

Series needs to be back to attempting to do simulation. That picture above just looks like some sort of NFS rally game.

Uhhh.. You are aware of the new X-games mode aren't you?

That's just one mode, all the old rally stuff from the first game is in there.

Hmm thats x-games thing does look pretty interesting, but still, that screenie does look like something from NFS, like at a powerstation by the looks of it, very 'urban'.
I heard that in this one you'll be competing for the Colin Mcrae commemorative cup or something, which is a nice touch.

That screenie is from the Battersea power station stage I believe. Seems to have lost the way to me. CM on ps2 was supreme.
