Reinstalled windows 7 after BSOD problems and reinstalled Dirt 2 only to find i have to start the game from the beginning...all online achievements and wins gone and offline 100% completion gone

...backed up my folders but it made no difference :confused:

I thought GFWL stored the save files online? Would've thought you'd get your save back as soon as you logged in, guess I'm wrong with that

Thats what i thought...all my contacts are there from OCUK but im back at level one.

I just fell for the same thing. The saved game I think is stashed in the Users->documents directory. I could have sworn I took a copy of it before wiping the HDD. But alas not.

Ive lost my World In Conflict save too, and I was on the last mission of that. Oh well...

At least on Dirt2 Im kicking ass on the Rookie races even on Savage level, I think I might have to knock it up one more.

I'm making a pact with myself.. Always google the name of the game and save path..

Never assume it's in the obvious place. Take COD WoW for example.

Isn't somewhere like C:\users\XXXX\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\activision\profile ??

Then my COD4 had the SP save in the program file directory and the MP somewhere similar to above.

Needless to say when i upgraded to Win7 I lost all my rankings and hard work.
