Just installed Dirt 3 today, tampered with some settings and turned everything to max with 16x CSAA 1080p, When I chacnged these settings the screen went black with a green gradient overlaying at the bottom. I've tried deleting the config file but the problem still persists. I've also tried uninstalling the game and re-installing but still nothing.
Here are my specs;
i5-2500
GTX 560
8GB 1600
Running GTX 560 on driver 285.62 (Most recent, Oct 2011)

Thanks in advance

Does this happen on any other game?

Im more of an ATI man have you rolled back your driver see if that fixes it?

Nope, it doesn't happen on any other game, it can't be my drivers as it was working fine at first then when I tried changing the graphics it happened

Maybe removing the video config file will generate a new one and restore settings??

Not sure this is even the correct file but there's a "video" xml file in steam\steamapps\common\dirt 3\gameconfig. Dont just delete it though, back it up.

Also in the game itself, if you go off track and crash, dont worry about the ugly artifacts obliterating the screen. It's not your gpu failing but a stupid "effect" added by some genius at CM.

As I've stated I've already tried deleting the config, I'll try the video one now though
I can't get into the game itself, I hear the woman speaking as I've only just started the game but the black/green screen persists

Theres a whole range of solutions on that page, not just the delete the Steam settings file. All of which are related to Dirt 3 having a black/green graphical problem... best of luck, I'm outtahere.

I've fixed this. To whom it may concern, go into Documents > My Games then delete the DiRT 3 folder and open the game up again

Thanks for the help anyway guys.
