ive just started to play dirt 3 and i selected novice because i hardly play racing games and ive never played a rally game

i use the 360 controller but all i seem to do is stay on the green line with the accelleration fully on and i seem to win every race, i dont drift or brake or anything :o

surely this cant be all there is to one of the highest ranking games on this year

What's confusing? You've set it to the easiest level and you're finding it too easy.

I'll let you work out the rest. :)

The assists do auto-braking and that kind of thing. It's more like driving on rails. Go into the options and turn some of them off :)

i found out where you guys are changing the options - why isnt it in the main options? :p

anyway, thanks, i found it so wierd before! :)

The assists on Dirt 3 include auto-brake and auto-steering on the lowest difficulty settings.

I'm playing on 360, but with those off I'm finding it pretty tough with the controller. I think it's meant to be better with the wheel. Without it, the steering is so sensitive that you have to be totally gentle with it or you just spin out the whole time.

I was playing this on my cousins ps3 and omg was it sensitive. Too bad theres no way of turning it down on the consoles.

Steering with wheel is great fun!

Dab of breaks, throw it into the corner, opposite lock, foot down :D

I have this game.. have had 2 sessions of the game on normal difficulty and have yet to survive the first level at anywhere more respectable than 5th... game is so very twitchy that at least once a course i will blink or something and my car will do a barrel roll
