DiRT or Forza 2?

Forza 2, dont look back

and dont touch dirt if you've enjoyed any of the previous CMR games, its a joke that its *** same series, terrible, terrible handling.

I'm split. Forza handles better but as a single player game is about as dull as you can get. No atmosphere to the game at all. The career is like a job.

Super monaco gp on the megadrive had a more interesting career.

Dirt handles like a car on a stick. Kinda like the landspeeder in starwars on tatoinne. I found that more fun though in SP than forza.

Both tbh are pretty crap, unless you like playing cat and mouse ;)

You could have just as much fun playing PGR3. Infact we shouldve all just saved ourselves £30 and played cat and mouse again on PGR.

aint played dirt, i bought forza 2 and after getting to around level 30, im startin to get bored of it now. it becomes such a chore to do seca 8 laps for one cup, then next cup with diff car but 9 laps, then again but 7 laps.. meh

Slightly different point of view here, but I have both and 95% of my playing time is with DIRT.

Reason why? - really you do get a very good sense of speed while running through very narrow fdirst roads, the damage physics are excellent as are the variety of cars (be it old MK2 escorts to newer ones).

Remember these are two very different styles of racing and two very different sports. I do feel connected with both games in terms of racing, but DIRT for me is a lot more rough and ready I feel.

The tracks differ a lot also which does add something rather than just tarmac.

Ok, the multiplayer is not great but it does only go to recreate what a rally would be IE not very often are you racing at exactly the same time.

They are both 2 very good games in my eyes

Oh and dont base the DIRT drivability on the demo, as far as I can see there were a lot of changes... braking distances for a start!

Thanks for this post. I think the best thing is going to play them both in person if I can get the chance

There both great games in there own right

I wouldnt say either of them are great. Passable driving games until something better comes along. Neither even get to the level of PGR 3. In my opinion of course.

If you want to sit around for 12 nours painting decals on cars then forza is your thing.

Two very different games tbh, if you like rallying buy dirt, if you like road racing get forza. Agree with previous poster that pgr 3 pwns both of them.

Wasn't particularly impressed with either tbh - the handling on DiRT was carp, whereas Forza lacked any excitement. Felt like playing a driving sim. Some people love that I suppose, but I just found it a bit tedious.

i disagree, if you like rallying go and my colin mcrae 1 or 2, should run on any pc around now really and FAR FAR better games. Dirt is just not rallying, the handling is god awful.

Forza 2 starts great, but gets boring. Infact, there is a decent sized review on my blog if you wanna see what I said about it.

DiRT is fun, certainly more so than Forza 2.

PGR3 is still king for me though, I also think TDU is vastly superior to both.
